Public service & public administration reform

Improving the way that governments operate and deliver services to their citizens is often a key priority for donor organisations – and governments themselves. There is no easy, one-size-fits-all approach to effective reform.  In many countries, poor administration, lack of capacity and weak structures of accountability present significant barriers to successful intervention. Reform policies need to account for national and local political economy and be rooted in clear objectives and strong leadership.
