Adaptation & resilience

Climate change presents a fundamental challenge to lives, livelihoods and sustainable development - with the poorest countries likely to be most severely affected. These countries are less likely to have the resources and capacity to adapt to the short- and long-term impacts of a changing climate. It is imperative that governments are given practical choices and affordable options around adaptation, based on in-depth assessments of potential risks and the feasibility and impact of potential responses.
