Rudy Tomasoa has extensive experience in the banking and microfinance sectors in Indonesia, and has worked in access to finance policy, support to individual financial service providers, and conducting diagnostics on financial access by various target groups. He has worked for several Indonesian and international commercial banks in a number of capacities. During his tenure at VAIA Consulting, he provided services to Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), one of Indonesia’s largest state-owned banks. He assisted BRI in developing and enhancing its Loan Origination System and Collection System. Rudy has also worked with the Microfinance Innovation Center for Resources and Alternatives (MICRA), where he managed rating and assessment of more than 100 microfinance institutions across Indonesia and the Philippines. He was also a Senior Analyst and Indonesia Representative at Micro Credit Ratings International Ltd. (M-CRIL), where he participated in a project commissioned by the World Bank in assessing the financial and operational performance and the capacity building needs of the PNPM Revolving Loan Fund. Rudy has participated in several OPM projects, including the Review of Payment of Social Assistance Funds through Bank Account and Review of IFC’s PENSA II Project.
