Joanna Rogers is a senior social assistance expert, specialising in: social services and social assistance workforce development, social protection system reform, disability policy and programmes, child and family social work and child protection - with 25 years’ experience of strategic planning, policy advice, research, monitoring and evaluation, and programme implementation internationally.
A fluent Russian speaker, Joanna holds a Master of Science in Social Work from the Stockholm specialist social work and nursing University Ersta Skondal Hogskolan. Areas of expertise include social assistance and social services development, with a focus on integrated social services, family support, disability, child protection and children with functional disorders in a family setting, deinstitutionalisation of care services, and social work development.
She has extensive experience in social and inter-sectoral policy analysis and reforms; programme and project implementation, research, evaluation and monitoring; institutional capacity development with state and non-state actors; training and research across a range of social sector issues and vulnerable groups. Areas of technical expertise include: child and family social work; child protection/child welfare system reform; deinstitutionalisation and community based rehabilitation; standards in social policy and social services for children and families; monitoring and evaluation; in-depth knowledge of international policy instruments in disability and child rights; children with disabilities in a family setting; early childhood development.
